In a sharp rebuttal to the DMK’s offensive, Tamil Nadu BJP spokesperson ANS Prasad declared that the ruling party is reeling from unease after the resounding success of the NDA rally in Madurantakam. He stood firmly behind AIADMK chief Edappadi K Palaniswami, countering the ‘BJP puppet’ jabs from DMK heavyweights like Udhayanidhi Stalin and Kanimozhi.

Prasad argued that such inflammatory language betrays DMK’s inability to counter the NDA’s rising momentum as the 2026 polls approach. The rally’s massive public participation underscores a brewing wave of change throughout the state, putting DMK’s top brass, including CM MK Stalin, on edge about their eroding base.

Under Amit Shah’s strategic guidance, the NDA has solidified into a cohesive alliance. Joint campaigns by Palaniswami and BJP state president Nainar Nagendran have spotlighted DMK’s shortcomings—from rampant corruption to broken promises and administrative lapses.

Taking umbrage at Udhayanidhi’s swipe at PM Modi’s women-focused initiatives, Prasad labeled the comments as misguided and detrimental. He pointed out the tangible impacts of Modi’s welfare programs on Tamil Nadu households.

The Modi-Palaniswami duo exemplifies the synergistic ‘double-engine’ model, with NDA committing to progress, law enforcement, and clean governance. BJP further charged DMK with using ad hominem attacks to mask failures on price rise, security, and graft allegations.

Exuding optimism, Prasad affirmed the NDA’s path to outright victory and governance in Tamil Nadu by 2026.
