In a momentous virtual appearance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the 100-year milestone event of Arya Vaidya Sala in Kerala, underscoring its monumental contributions to safeguarding Ayurveda. The institution, founded by the visionary Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier, exemplifies selfless service and deep-rooted commitment to holistic healing.

‘Arya Vaidya Sala stands as a vibrant symbol of India’s age-old medical legacy, guiding humanity through balanced living and natural synergy,’ Modi stated. From producing 600+ formulations to running hospitals that attract international patients from 60+ nations, the trust it commands is unparalleled. Its century-old charitable hospital remains a sanctuary for the afflicted, powered by dedicated healers and support staff.

Modi detailed transformative government policies reversing decades of neglect toward traditional systems. The AYUSH Ministry now unifies diverse practices, with 12,000+ wellness centers operational via the National AYUSH Mission. Manufacturing expansion and the AYUSH Export Promotion Council have propelled herbal exports to Rs 6,500 crore, up from Rs 3,000 crore—a windfall for farmers and global markets.

However, Modi stressed the necessity of rigorous scientific validation through evidence-based studies to counter skepticism. He advocated leveraging AI and cutting-edge tech for disease prediction and personalized therapies, bridging ancient wisdom with contemporary science.

The Prime Minister’s vision paints Ayurveda not just as medicine, but as a lifestyle revolution poised for worldwide acclaim, with Arya Vaidya Sala leading the charge.
