Delhi’s rural belt is under siege from an influx of Bhalswa landfill waste, prompting a blistering response from AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj. He alleges Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has greenlit the transfer of thousands of truckloads of garbage to vacant plots in Delhi Dehat, betraying earlier commitments to eliminate landfill eyesores.

In a viral video, Bharadwaj exposes the grim operation: trucks brimming with non-biodegradable waste—plastics, glass shards, and chemical-laden refuse—are being dumped unchecked in Karala and surrounding areas. ‘Instead of solving the waste crisis, they’re exporting it to villages, dooming them to health epidemics,’ he charged.

AAP points to MCD’s legacy of neglect, fostering three colossal garbage mountains over 15 years. This latest move, they say, exemplifies the inefficiency of the current regime, prioritizing cover-ups over sustainable solutions. Rural residents face imminent threats from contaminated water, respiratory issues, and vector-borne diseases as toxins seep into the soil.

Affected villages including Mundka, Rani Khera, Bawana, and others brace for environmental catastrophe. Bharadwaj has called on the CM for accountability, urging a halt to the dumping and real action on waste processing. As Delhi grapples with its garbage glut, this scandal underscores the urgent need for comprehensive urban planning that doesn’t sacrifice rural livability.
