On the 78th martyrdom anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, India’s political landscape united in homage. Union Home Minister Amit Shah spearheaded the tributes from BJP leaders, sharing poignant messages that revisited Gandhi’s monumental contributions to the nation’s freedom.

In a moving post on X, Shah bowed countless times to Gandhi, crediting him with bridging divides of language, region, and caste to broaden the independence movement. Gandhi’s holistic vision—merging self-reliance, freedom, and sanitation—paints an aspirational picture of India’s future, one that continues to motivate, according to Shah.

Yogi Adityanath, UP’s CM, paid repeated obeisance, celebrating Bapu’s truthful conduct, unyielding non-violence, and universal empathy as beacons for the world. He called for embracing these principles to construct a thriving, equitable, and advanced Bharat.

Rekha Gupta, Delhi’s Chief Minister, offered endless salutations, portraying Gandhi as the architect who elevated the freedom fight into a people’s revolution via satya and ahimsa. His global influence on peace, goodwill, and human dignity persists undiminished.

Nitish Kumar from Bihar respectfully remembered Gandhi, affirming that his ideals will eternally direct paths and inspire the new generation. Bhajan Lal Sharma of Rajasthan hailed Gandhi’s life as a testament to truth and non-violence, guiding posterity towards compassion and righteousness.

Haryana’s Nayab Singh Saini tendered humble respects, pointing to Gandhi’s reinforcement of unity, inner strength, and ethics. Embedded in his teachings is the noble pursuit of Ram Rajya and worldwide amity for humanity’s upliftment.

These tributes not only commemorate a historical giant but also reaffirm his relevance in addressing modern India’s challenges through non-violent, inclusive governance.
