Bihar’s political landscape heated up as RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav unleashed a blistering critique against the state government for transferring the probe into a NEET student’s death at a Patna hostel to the CBI. The move, announced by the administration, has been branded by Yadav as a glaring admission of failure.

Details emerged of the heartbreaking demise of the medical aspirant residing in a girls’ hostel in the heart of Patna. Suspicions of sexual assault followed by murder have gripped the nation, leading CM Nitish Kumar to urge the central agency for intervention. The announcement came via a post from Home Minister Samrat Choudhary on X.

In a strongly worded X post, Yadav declared the government’s action as proof of Bihar’s rotten administrative core. ‘This corrupt, inept, and unprofessional setup can’t handle even a straightforward rape-murder investigation,’ he asserted, shifting blame from police to the ruling NDA’s leadership.

Drawing parallels to botched probes like Nawruna’s, where CBI dragged on for 12-13 years without arrests, Yadav predicted a similar cover-up. He ridiculed the election-time rhetoric on ‘Jungle Raj’ by NDA leaders, now seemingly helpless against crime.

Demanding accountability for the ‘destroyed and corrupt’ justice system, Yadav accused the regime of headline-grabbing diversions. The incident highlights vulnerabilities in Bihar’s coaching ecosystem, where thousands of students flock for exams like NEET.

While officials vow rigorous pursuit of justice, Yadav’s salvo has reignited debates on governance lapses. With CBI now at the helm, all eyes are on whether this will deliver closure or join the list of unresolved tragedies plaguing the state.
