In a heated exchange, BJP parliamentarians have accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of embarrassing India’s democracy through relentless disruptions in Parliament. The party claims the opposition’s shouting and stalling tactics have crossed all lines of decency.

Taking a direct swipe, Union Minister Giriraj Singh painted a vivid picture of Congress as a hub for drama queens. ‘Rahul Gandhi is acting out a script of falsehoods, treating Parliament like his private office where no one else rules,’ Singh thundered. He alleged a deeper conspiracy under Gandhi’s leadership aimed at speaking against the nation’s interests, a move he deemed utterly unconstructive.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju addressed Gandhi’s grievances over speech opportunities, revealing that the Leader of Opposition had demanded to speak beyond procedural norms. ‘We gave it two days, but fairness demands equal time for all. Parliament operates by rules, not whims,’ Rijiju clarified, underscoring the need for orderly discourse.

Echoing the sentiment, BJP MP Arun Govil decried Gandhi’s parliamentary demeanor as indefensible. ‘It’s disgraceful for a sitting MP to behave this way; Gandhi doesn’t even realize what he says or does,’ Govil observed critically.

Regarding the suspension of eight opposition members, BJP MP Shashank Mani justified it as a necessary response to breaches in House etiquette. ‘Correct action was taken, and it sets a precedent for future accountability,’ he noted confidently.

BJP MP Darshan Singh Choudhary rubbished Congress claims, highlighting how Gandhi and his coalition’s rowdyism has hurt Parliament’s prestige. This escalating war of words highlights deepening political divides, with BJP positioning itself as the guardian of democratic norms amid opposition unrest.
