Chhattisgarh’s Cabinet, under CM Vishnu Deo Sai’s leadership, unleashed a barrage of development initiatives on Wednesday, prioritizing public safety, technological advancement, and rural empowerment. The fight against narcotics intensified with 100 sanctioned posts for Anti-Narcotics Task Forces across 10 districts including Raipur, Bastar, and Bilaspur, targeting drug networks head-on.

Parallelly, the Special Operations Group (SOG) received 44 new positions to handle sudden crises, terror attacks, and grave threats with precision-trained operatives, fortifying the state’s emergency response framework.

Aviation sector innovation soared with operational guidelines for Flight Training Organizations at state airports. Private sector involvement will drive pilot training, aero sports, and maintenance facilities, opening employment avenues amid booming air travel demands.

The Innovation and Startup Promotion Policy 2025-26 got the thumbs-up, set to cultivate incubators and a thriving ecosystem, catapulting Chhattisgarh up the national startup rankings and drawing investor interest.

Relief for urban dwellers came via handing over 35 housing colonies to city corporations, eliminating double payments for maintenance and taxes. Residents will soon enjoy seamless civic amenities, streamlining municipal governance.

Nava Raipur’s development blueprint expanded with a grand multi-level office complex for state offices, maximizing land efficiency. In Sirpur and Arpa, district collectors now hold land allotment authority to fast-track master-planned growth in these vital zones.

Embracing the future, the Cloud First Policy was adopted, directing all government bodies to use certified Indian cloud providers with phased migrations by 2030. This promises cost savings, scalability, and robust data recovery.

Rural digitization took center stage with the Mobile Tower initiative, easing approvals for towers in rugged terrains and insurgent zones. Enhanced connectivity will supercharge PDS, DBT, health, education, and emergency responses, bridging urban-rural gaps and spurring socioeconomic progress.
