In a fiery parliamentary showdown, Rahul Gandhi’s ‘gaddar’ barb at Ravneet Singh Bittu sparked outrage from allies and rivals alike. JD(U)’s Rajiv Ranjan Prasad decried the language as juvenile and unbecoming, warning it tarnishes Congress’s image time and again. ‘The LoP’s immature conduct lands his party in hot water,’ Prasad remarked to media outlets.

BJP’s Pratul Shah Dev escalated the criticism, exposing Congress’s own history of defections among its slim parliamentary ranks. More gravely, he labeled the slur a direct affront to Sikhs, whose legacy of valor and devotion is legendary. ‘Congress’s disdain for Sikhs is no secret,’ Dev fumed, demanding an apology.

Shifting focus, Prasad mocked Mamata Banerjee’s frequent capital trips, contrasting them with her uproar over electoral roll clean-ups. He drew parallels to Bihar’s failed anti-fraud campaign by Yadav and Gandhi. Dev went further, alleging Banerjee’s orchestration of violence over 50 lakh purportedly removed voters aims to preempt electoral defeat with claims of sabotage.

These pointed retorts underscore a polarized political arena, where personal attacks and historical grievances fuel the narrative ahead of crunch polls.
