In a no-holds-barred address to the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the motion of thanks on President Droupadi Murmu’s speech, showcasing India’s newfound strength on the world stage. He outlined three pillars: economic power, public energy for the nation, and a solid manufacturing base that compels global partners to engage seriously.

The PM didn’t mince words against vote-bank-driven politicians. ‘Those sunk in vote-bank politics never made nation-building their priority,’ Modi declared. Zeroing in on Congress, he charged, ‘They lacked any vision, strategy, or resolve.’

Optimism flowed as he discussed fresh trade pacts benefiting young Indians from all walks—village youth, city dwellers, middle-class aspirants. ‘Global markets are open; opportunities beckon our children,’ he said, vowing solidarity. ‘Rest assured, I’m with you every step, as the world welcomes your potential.’

Reflecting on governance shifts, Modi said efforts are underway to fix Congress’s legacy blunders and restore India’s reputation abroad. ‘They abandoned a weakened nation. Our future-ready policies now steer us forward. Policy-led India inspires world confidence, propelling us on the fast track of reforms.’

On infiltrators, he highlighted a stark hypocrisy: developed countries expel illegals, but here, courts face undue pressure to shield them. ‘These intruders deprive our youth of livelihoods and seize tribal lands. Still, opportunists preach to us!’ Modi’s speech blended inspiration with critique, rallying for a stronger, self-reliant India.
