Chhattisgarh’s administration is set to revolutionize property registration with the approval of four additional sub-registrar offices. Targeting underserved regions, the offices in Bhakhara (Dhamtari), Lawan (Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara), Sakri, and Rajkishor Nagar (Bilaspur) will make legal documentation faster and more accessible.

Gone are the days when villagers had to endure arduous journeys to district offices for registry work. This initiative, rooted in the Registration Act-1908, ensures services are timely, convenient, and cost-effective. It not only cuts down travel expenses but also promises transparency in procedures, fostering trust in the system.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Vishnu Dev Sai reiterated the commitment to citizen-centric governance. ‘Bringing services closer to people is the hallmark of our administration,’ he said. Minister O.P. Chaudhary added that alongside the physical expansion, the department has rolled out 10 game-changing reforms. From biometric Aadhaar authentication to at-home registrations and seamless online downloads via khasra numbers, these upgrades will empower users like never before.

The integration of modern tools such as DigiLocker, WhatsApp-based queries, auto name transfers, and cashless payments marks a digital leap. Economic ripple effects are anticipated, with quicker registrations spurring real estate activity and job creation in these areas. This strategic expansion underscores Chhattisgarh’s vision for a decentralized, tech-savvy bureaucracy that truly serves its people.
