In a proactive step towards enhancing Bihar’s tourism infrastructure, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar personally inspected the Digha Tourism Ghat on the Ganga riverfront in Patna today. His visit underscores the state’s commitment to world-class facilities amid ongoing development drives.

Officials informed the CM that the Tourism Department is redeveloping Janardan Ghat as a vibrant tourist spot. Responding decisively, Kumar ordered the creation of a comprehensive garden complex. He envisioned a robust, permanent ghat setup to host mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremonies, drawing crowds to experience the sacred rituals and creating a pious vibe in the locality.

Prioritizing visitor comfort, the Chief Minister called for state-of-the-art amenities tailored for Ganga sightseers. ‘Develop solid tourist infrastructure so everyone enjoys hassle-free visits,’ he remarked, aiming to position the site as a must-visit attraction.

Kumar’s tour extended to the construction site of the upcoming six-lane bridge alongside JP Setu. Stressing urgency, he commanded, ‘Expedite the work to finish on schedule, easing public travel woes.’ This vital infrastructure will alleviate congestion on the old bridge, forging smoother links between Bihar’s northern and southern regions and spurring economic growth.

Accompanying the CM were key aides like Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar, Secretary Kumar Ravi, and Tourism Secretary Nilesh Ramchandra Devre. Just a day prior, he had scrutinized PMCH’s upgrade projects, reinforcing his focus on quality deliverables.
