Fresh off the triumphant release of ‘Border 2’, Ahan Shetty is riding high on critical acclaim and fan frenzy. The actor, son of Bollywood icon Suniel Shetty, spilled the beans on his go-to trick for handling pre-shoot tension during intense filming moments.
Speaking candidly, Ahan explained his music therapy routine. He dons noise-cancelling headphones, retreats to solitude in his van or tent, and curates genre-specific tunes aligned with the scene’s vibe. ‘This drowns out the chaos—crew chatter, mounting pressure—and sharpens my focus solely on the character,’ he said. ‘Nerves linger, but they’re manageable, turning into fuel for authenticity.’
Portraying a Navy officer involved perilous underwater shoots, for which Ahan prepped meticulously. He secured an international PADI scuba certification in 2020 amid lockdowns, building on his school swimming background. ‘Director Anurag Singh’s vision excited me instantly,’ Ahan noted. ‘Two months of intensive training, backed by expert teams, made underwater scenes a breeze. No panic, just precision—it’s paying off spectacularly on screen.’
‘Border 2’ pays homage to the 1971 war’s pivotal Basantar battle, showcasing Indian bravery against Pakistani forces in Punjab-Jammu. With powerhouses like Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan, the ensemble delivers a patriotic powerhouse.
Ahan’s story resonates beyond the screen, inspiring aspiring actors on mastering mental hurdles. As the film shatters records, his secret ritual underscores the blend of discipline and creativity driving Bollywood’s new guard.
