In a motivating address, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan declared that the creative sparks from students are essential for crafting the future of Kerala. At the launch of the Chief Minister-Young Innovators Programme (CM-YIP) meet, he stressed integrating classroom learning with tangible efforts against everyday social hurdles.

Vijayan was heartened to see schoolchildren already spotting community pain points—from domestic dilemmas to mobility and medical issues—and crafting hands-on fixes. This engagement not only solves problems but also builds remarkable self-assurance in the youth.

These efforts align seamlessly with the blueprint for a revitalized Kerala, he observed. The interactive session touched on international study prospects, with warnings about scams and the introduction of NORKA-led safeguards.

Students now have access to an innovative app for verifying overseas universities’ authenticity and quality. The CM underscored Kerala’s drive to match global benchmarks in higher education, as state universities climb national rankings swiftly.

He exhorted the young audience to evolve from job hunters to entrepreneurs launching startups that generate employment. Vijayan spotlighted Kerala’s investor-friendly vibe, rooted in its tranquil and predictable social fabric.

A highlight was his mention of discussions with a leading conglomerate eyeing ₹3 lakh crore investments, drawn precisely by the state’s harmony and reliability. Preserving this edge remains Kerala’s trump card, he asserted.

Drawing from his own struggles in completing education amid adversities, Vijayan connected personally with the students. Over 300 YIP champions showcased their prototypes in an impressive display, receiving certificates amid applause.

Under K-DISC’s stewardship, YIP stands as the globe’s premier innovation drive, drawing 1.2 million innovators between 13-37 years, offering resources to prototype groundbreaking ideas.
