BMW India has announced a price increase of up to three percent, effective September 1, 2025. This price adjustment will impact all BMW models. The company attributes the increase to fluctuations in the dollar-rupee exchange rate, rising costs of manufacturing components, transportation expenses, and supply chain challenges, all of which have directly affected car prices. The price range for BMW models starts from the 2 Series Gran Coupe, priced at ₹46.90 lakh, and extends to the XM Performance SUV, which costs up to ₹2.60 crore (ex-showroom). This marks the third price hike by BMW this year, following previous increases in January and April. After these three increments, the vehicles have become approximately 10 percent more expensive.

BMW has experienced strong sales in the first half of the year and anticipates maintaining this momentum in the second half. The company sells a detailed series of locally assembled and fully imported cars in India. Locally assembled models include the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, 3 Series Long Wheelbase, 5 Series Long Wheelbase, 7 Series, X1, X3, X5, X7, M340i, and iX1 Long Wheelbase, which are assembled at the company’s Tamil Nadu factory. In contrast, models such as the i4, i5, i7, i7 M70, iX, Z4 M40i, M2 Coupe, M4 Competition, M4 CS, M5, M8 Competition Coupe, and XM are imported as completely built-up units (CBUs).

Despite the price increases, the car manufacturer is also preparing to launch new and powerful models during the festive season. Furthermore, the company will offer financial options such as easy EMIs, leasing plans, and buy-back offers for its customers, aiming to help fulfill their dreams of owning a premium car. Regardless of the price adjustments, BMW’s customer experience and product offerings will remain outstanding.
