Mahindra Thar Receives Refresh: New Features, Design Updates, and Specs Unveiled

Mahindra has released the updated Thar, with a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh. This popular SUV has been revamped with new design elements, enhanced comfort features, smart technology, and additional upgrades designed to provide a smooth off-roading experience. The refreshed Thar features a redesigned front fascia, complemented by a dual-tone front bumper and R18 alloy wheels, enhancing the vehicle’s overall appearance. Inside, the SUV boasts an all-black theme interior and a new steering wheel. Customers can now choose from an expanded range of exterior colors, including Tango Red and Battleship Grey. The interior has also been upgraded with rear AC vents for passenger comfort. Additional features include a sliding armrest and a dead pedal in automatic variants. Power windows are now door-mounted, and a rear-view camera is included for ease of use. Other additions comprise an internally operated fuel lid, a rear wiper and washer, and A-pillar entry-assist handles for challenging terrains. The updated Thar also incorporates a 26.03 cm HD infotainment screen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as USB Type-C ports. A direction monitoring system provides real-time information on tyre orientation, improving safety. For off-roading enthusiasts, the Adventure Stats Gen II feature provides valuable off-road data such as racing tab, altimeter, outside temperature and pressure, trip meter, and steering direction. The vehicle will offer three engine choices: a 2.0 M stallion Petrol, a 2.2L mHawk Diesel, and a D117 CRDE Diesel engine.
