Maruti Suzuki’s recently launched Victoris is designed to compete with rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. While the Indian market remains a priority, Suzuki intends to capitalize on global sales by exporting the vehicle to numerous international markets. The Grand Vitara, a compact SUV from Maruti, is currently exported to around 60 countries. The Victoris aims to broaden this reach, targeting over 100 countries worldwide. Similar export strategies are in place for the e-Vitara, whose exports have already begun. Shipments of the e-Vitara have been sent to 12 European countries, including the UK, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Hungary, Austria, Iceland, and Belgium. The Victoris is expected to be exported to similar markets, along with destinations across Asia, the Middle East, South and Central America, and Africa.

India’s export-oriented production is experiencing growth, and Maruti’s share in exports is increasing. In August 2025, Maruti exported a total of 36,538 cars, representing approximately 20% of the company’s total sales of 1.8 lakh units for the month. Maruti’s share in overall car exports from India stood at 40% in FY25. With new models like the Victoris, Maruti anticipates further expansion of its export capabilities.

Maruti currently exports several models globally, including the Fronx, Jimny, Dzire, Baleno, Swift, Ertiga, Celerio, S-Presso, Eeco, Ciaz, Grand Vitara, Alto, Brezza, Ignis, XL6, and Wagon R. The Fronx is currently the company’s most exported model, recently surpassing the 1 lakh export milestone. The Fronx is shipped to over 80 countries. Suzuki aims to achieve similar success with the new Victoris.
