Royal Enfield Himalayan 750: Unveiling Details on the Upcoming Adventure Bike

Royal Enfield is expanding its motorcycle lineup with a new 750cc Himalayan model, joining the existing single-cylinder 450cc version. This expansion comes as the brand has a series of bikes in development, including the Flying Flea and the E-Himalayan. The new 750cc Himalayan will utilize a reworked version of the 650cc parallel-twin engine, already found in models like the Interceptor and Super Meteor, but with a boosted capacity for increased power. The company has demonstrated its engine platform’s potential, having previously showcased an 850cc running concept. The 750cc Himalayan will feature a 19-inch front wheel and a beefier dual front disc brake setup. The new motor will be more powerful than Enfield’s other parallel-twin models, specifically tuned for its role with a larger bore and stroke. Royal Enfield’s Global Head of Product Strategy, Mark Wells, highlighted that the Himalayan is the most requested product, emphasizing the need for a good seat height, easy maneuverability, and controllable throttle response. The development process includes a year-long cycle, culminating in a clay model and a development mule, where test riders refine the suspension, settings, and ride dynamics.
