Safe driving goes beyond just having good riding skills; the safety features in your bike are equally important. With advancements in technology, bikes have evolved beyond just speed and aesthetics, now incorporating features that can prevent accidents in challenging situations. Often, riders are unaware of these features, which prevents them from fully utilizing their benefits. If you’re considering buying or already using a bike and want to learn about these features, this information is essential.

    **Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)**
ABS is considered a game-changer in bike safety. This system prevents the wheels from locking up during sudden or hard braking. It’s especially useful on slippery roads, as it prevents the tires from skidding. As a result, the rider maintains better control of the bike, significantly reducing the risk of accidents. This feature is now available in many bikes, even those with engines up to 125cc.

    **Combi Braking System (CBS)**
CBS is primarily found in lower-powered bikes, typically up to 125cc. In this system, the front and rear brakes are linked. When the rider applies only the rear brake, the system automatically activates the front brake as well. This distributes the braking force evenly across both tires. Consequently, the bike stops faster, and the chances of skidding are reduced.

    **Traction Control System (TCS)**
This feature is commonly seen in high-performance and premium bikes. It continuously monitors the speed of the wheels. If the rear wheel starts spinning faster than necessary and the risk of slipping arises (such as on wet or sandy roads), TCS reduces engine power. This maintains the tire’s grip on the road and prevents the bike from going out of control. The system also ensures safety during rapid acceleration.
