The Tata Harrier EV is poised to enter the market, offering a compelling all-electric SUV option. With bookings scheduled to open on July 2, 2025, the Harrier EV presents itself as a strong contender. Prices range from Rs 21.49 lakh to Rs 27.49 lakh for the RWD and Rs 28.99 lakh for the AWD variant. This model marks Tata’s return to an all-wheel-drive layout since the Safari Storme. The Harrier EV’s exterior design maintains similarities with its ICE counterpart, updated with EV-specific features. The front fascia features a closed-off grille, while the vehicle sports new 19-inch alloy wheels and EV badging. The Harrier EV is slightly larger than the standard Harrier, being 2mm longer and 22mm taller. A comparison reveals the Harrier EV competing against models like the Mahindra BE-06, Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv, and MG Windsor. Key aspects include range, acceleration, battery capacity, features (including V2L and V2V), drivetrain, power output, torque, and charging times. The Harrier EV’s 65kWh LFP battery powers the RWD, and the higher trims have a 75kWh LFP battery paired with dual motors, generating 504 Nm of torque. The 75kWh variants are expected to deliver a range of approximately 627 km, with real-world range estimates of 480-505 km. Charging can be done using a 7.2kWh AC charger in 10.7 hours or a 120kW DC charger from 20-80% in 25 minutes. The Harrier EV includes an Ultra Glide Multi-Link Suspension setup, off-road assist features, and a transparent mode. Additional features such as a regenerative braking system and summon mode are also included.
