Strengthening the pillars of strategic partnership, US Ambassador Sergio Gor and Army Secretary Driscoll visited India’s Apache AH-64E helicopter base in New Delhi. The event highlights America’s commitment to bolstering India’s aerial combat prowess.

Gor shared on social media: ‘A great visit to the AH-64E Apache alongside Secretary Driscoll. It’s a powerful emblem of how we’re realizing the joint US-India vision for defense collaboration, upgrading capabilities, training, and tech sharing to fortify security across the region.’

Concurrently, Secretary Daniel P. Driscoll engaged in in-depth discussions with General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Indian Army. The agenda included deepening military dialogues, expanding joint operations, and solidifying joint pledges for international stability.

Topics ranged from ongoing defense initiatives to prospective collaborative opportunities. Priorities included synchronized drills, skill enhancement programs, officer swaps, infrastructure development, and seamless tactical alignment.

This engagement is hailed as a cornerstone in evolving Indo-US military relations, grounded in aligned principles, confidence, and unified security perspectives. It builds on the landmark 10-year defense framework inked recently by Rajnath Singh and Peter Hegseth.

With Apaches now integral to India’s defense matrix, such interactions propel forward momentum in technology transfers and operational readiness, ensuring a balanced power equilibrium in Asia’s volatile landscape.
