Prime Minister Narendra Modi rolled out the red carpet for global energy titans on Wednesday, convening 27 CEOs and senior executives at a high-level roundtable in New Delhi. Timed with India Energy Week 2026 buildup, the session at his official residence featured Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and team, fostering dialogue on India’s energy ambitions.

Industry leaders voiced profound trust in India’s growth story, citing steady policies and rapid reforms. With soaring energy needs on the horizon, they pledged to expand footprints in the world’s fastest-growing major economy. Modi positioned these forums as essential for aligning government strategies with industry insights, refining policies, and unlocking investment potential.

‘India is charging towards becoming the third biggest economy globally,’ PM Modi declared, stressing its pivotal role in stabilizing worldwide energy markets. He dangled enticing prospects: up to $100 billion in oil and gas exploration, $30 billion in bio-gas innovations, and vast opportunities in gas economies, integrated refineries, petrochemicals, shipping, and more.

Navigating global energy turbulence, the Prime Minister urged bold innovation and strategic alliances. India, he reiterated, is primed to be a steadfast partner throughout the energy ecosystem. As India Energy Week 2026 looms, this meeting cements India’s leadership in the shift to sustainable energy.

The CEOs’ optimism was palpable, highlighting India’s vast markets and forward-thinking regulations as magnets for capital. Modi’s message resonated: India aims to power its rise while contributing decisively to international energy security and green growth.
