The Budget session of Parliament commenced Thursday in New Delhi, setting the stage for high-stakes debates and policy announcements. Prime Minister Narendra Modi seized the moment to speak to the media, framing his administration’s philosophy around ‘Reform, Perform, and Transform’ as its hallmark.

Drawing from President Murmu’s Wednesday address, Modi expressed optimism about parliamentary cooperation. ‘Her guidance is vital, and I trust all members will contribute constructively,’ he remarked, highlighting the session’s unique significance amid national priorities.

India’s global appeal was a key theme. Modi portrayed the nation as an emerging powerhouse, with the India-EU Free Trade Agreement as a game-changer. ‘This deal unlocks bright futures for our youth, farmers, and fishermen,’ he said, encouraging producers to enhance capabilities and tap into the vast 27-country market with competitive, high-quality products.

Shifting focus, the PM acknowledged budget anticipation but reiterated his government’s reform-driven agenda. ‘The Reform Express is accelerating, thanks to cross-party support,’ he gratefully noted. He urged a solution-oriented mindset: ‘This is no time for disruptions—it’s the era of solutions, implementation over excuses.’

Modi spotlighted the administration’s strength in last-mile delivery, transforming policy from paper to practice. ‘Critics may differ, but all agree on our delivery focus,’ he pointed out. Committed to advancing these efforts, his vision promises a dynamic transformation of India’s developmental landscape.
