Arijit Singh’s performance at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 5th marked a historic moment as he became the first Indian artist to headline a UK stadium. The event drew thousands eager to hear his popular songs, including ‘Saiyaara,’ ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan,’ ‘Rasiya,’ ‘Ami Je Tomar,’ and ‘Sapphire.’ The concert, which lasted over two hours, concluded unexpectedly at 10:30 pm when authorities enforced a curfew, cutting the power. Videos circulating on social media captured the moment Arijit was singing ‘Deva Deva’ from Brahmastra when the music abruptly stopped, coinciding with fireworks in the background. Fans expressed their shock, noting Arijit’s request for an additional 20 minutes to finish the show. However, the power was disconnected before a proper farewell could be given. Another video showcased the stadium in darkness as disappointed attendees exited the venue without a concluding goodbye.
