Rana reminisced about his college days, sharing an incident where he retaliated against a police officer after his friend was assaulted. He also described how he celebrated his first-division pass by parading through his hometown with a celebratory procession and his mark sheet.
Rana revealed he was actively involved in politics during his college years. He recalled a time when his friends were beaten by police officers, prompting him to confront the officers. Rana explained that growing up in the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh, he was raised with a specific definition of a ‘man’, someone who stands up and fights for what is right. He also shared his definition of a ‘woman’ as someone who possesses the ‘key’ to fight for justice.
Rana spoke about how, during his formative years, he engaged in actions that might not align with the norms of a civilized society. He noted the police are often deployed to manage situations, and sometimes, unintended events occur. Interestingly, during his college political days, Rana, who once confronted the police officer, later protested against him. He clarified that his actions were driven by his belief in truth and justice.
Rana’s involvement in college activism worried his family, who feared he might fail his exams. However, he proudly recounted how he achieved a first-division pass, celebrating with a procession with drums and his mark sheet to share the good news with his family.
