He discussed a viral social media post where he announced a break from his family. During a conversation with Zeeshan Qadri, Mallik revealed the post was triggered by a heated argument with his mother. He explained he was going through a difficult period, compounded by a serious breakup. Mallik shared, “I had posted something that went viral on the internet. I was depressed. I had severed ties with my family… I was making all the songs, but no one asked me about them… My little brother (Armaan Malik) is like my own son, but Armaan never made me feel like I was a star, and you are not.”
