Bollywood legends Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol recently graced London to unveil a stunning bronze statue commemorating 30 years of their iconic film, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (DDLJ). The statue, located in the heart of Leicester Square, captures a quintessential moment between their beloved characters, Raj and Simran. This special tribute marks DDLJ as the first Indian film to receive such an honor on the ‘Scenes in the Square’ trail.

Shah Rukh Khan expressed his excitement on social media, sharing photos with Kajol beside the newly unveiled monument. He captioned the post with a famous dialogue from the film, writing, “Bade Bade Deshon Mein, Aisi Chhoti Chhoti Baatein Hoti Rehti Hain, Senorita! Thrilled to unveil the bronze statue of Raj & Simran at London’s Leicester Square today, celebrating 30 years of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ)!” He also extended his gratitude to the UK for making this possible, inviting fans to visit and create new memories with the legendary couple.

Directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra under Yash Raj Films, DDLJ was released in 1995 and went on to become a global phenomenon. The romantic drama achieved immense success, reportedly earning over Rs 102.50 crore worldwide against a modest budget of Rs 4 crore. Its enduring legacy continues to captivate audiences three decades later.
