In an era where delays are commonplace in filmmaking, Nana Patekar stands out as a beacon of discipline. The seasoned actor recently defied a raging 102-degree fever to finish a demanding action sequence on the sets of ‘O Romeo,’ earning accolades from director Vishal Bhardwaj and the production team.

The sequence in question unfolded aboard a realistic train set, packed with high-stakes stunts that required precision and stamina. Patekar arrived on set visibly unwell, his body temperature soaring. Concern rippled through the crew as medical advice urged him to step back. Yet, true to his ethos, Patekar insisted on pushing forward.

Bhardwaj recounted the moment: “He shot for a straight four hours, ensuring not a minute was lost.” This episode underscores why Patekar remains a force in Indian cinema, prioritizing the project’s timeline over personal comfort.

Building anticipation, ‘O Romeo’ dropped its debut track ‘Ishq Ka Fever,’ a romantic gem voiced by Arijit Singh with music by Bhardwaj and lyrics by Gulzar. Fans can’t get enough of Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri’s on-screen spark.

Drawing from real-life inspirations in Hussain Zaidi’s ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai,’ the movie explores the daring world of Mumbai’s mafia matriarchs. Shahid takes on the role of don Hussain Ustra, opposite Triptii’s fierce Sapna Didi. Joining them are heavyweights like Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, and veteran Farida Jalal.

Sajid Nadiadwala presents this Vishal Bhardwaj directorial from Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Get ready for its big-screen debut on February 13, 2026, where Patekar’s grit will undoubtedly shine through.
