Actress Gitikka Ganju Dhar has been confirmed to star alongside Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh in the much-anticipated film ‘Dhurandhar’. The project, helmed by director Aditya Dhar, promises a unique cinematic experience.
Dhar expressed her enthusiasm for the film, stating, “Dhurandhar is poised to be a stalwart of a film! In India, this genre has probably not been cinematically presented with such precision, authenticity and panache before. I am happy to be a part of this film.” She lauded the efforts of director Aditya Dhar and producers Aditya Dhar & Lokesh Dhar, adding, “it was a delight to see ‘The Chameleon’, a master performer, Ranveer in action!!”
Highlighting the film’s potential to redefine storytelling, Gitikka remarked, “Every few years comes a film that changes how the story is told. ‘Dhurandhar’ is one such feature film. Aditya Dhar, as sharp & clear-headed a director as can be, has excelled in his attempt to make a bold and authentic representation of the truth of this plot.”
She further emphasized the importance of authenticity and research in filmmaking, noting that future narratives on similar subjects will need to match the preparation invested in ‘Dhurandhar’. Gitikka also shared her positive working experience with seasoned actors Rakesh Bedi, Ranveer Singh, and Sara Arjun.
Gitikka Ganju Dhar brings a wealth of experience to the project, having previously appeared in Aamir Khan Productions’ ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and ‘Music Meri Jaan’. Her recent performances in the critically acclaimed OTT series ‘Tanaav Season 2’ on SonyLIV and ‘Aarya Season 2’ on Disney+ Hotstar have further cemented her reputation.
‘Dhurandhar’ boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Akshaye Khanna. The film is slated for a theatrical release on December 5, 2025.
