Golmaal Five: Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn Aim for 2026 Release

The dynamic duo of Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty are set to reunite for ‘Golmaal Five,’ with production slated to commence in early 2026. Following a string of 13 box office successes, the comedy franchise’s fifth installment is currently in the scripting phase. Shetty is occupied with the Rakesh Maria biopic, aiming to wrap up filming by September 2025 and lock the edit by the end of the same year. Post-biopic, Shetty will shift focus to ‘Golmaal Five,’ with plans to begin filming in February or March 2026. A fresh team of writers is working on the screenplay, aiming to finalize it by September 2025. The film will feature the original cast, including Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, and Johnny Lever. The ‘Golmaal’ franchise, which began in 2006, has garnered immense popularity in Indian cinema and has built a large fan base. Devgn has a busy schedule with projects like ‘Son of Sardaar 2,’ ‘De De Pyaar De 2,’ and ‘Drishyam 3,’ scheduled for release later this year or next year. He also completed the shoot for ‘Dhamaal 4,’ set to release in 2026.
