The latest season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 17 has premiered with a bang. Host Amitabh Bachchan, as always, continues to win the hearts of the audience with his stories and reminiscences. Recently, Big B shared a deeply emotional anecdote from his life, which moved everyone.
On the KBC stage, contestant Vijay shared that his father is a daily wage worker and that he wishes to win enough money from KBC to buy a large house for his parents.
Vijay mentioned that last year, after he started working, he took his parents to a nice restaurant for dinner. He told his parents not to look at the rate list and to order whatever they wanted. This statement by Vijay also moved Amitabh Bachchan.
Recalling the moment, Amitabh Bachchan said, “The person you are sitting in front of, also ate in a restaurant for the first time one day.” Big B revealed that when he finished college and started earning a little, he took his parents to the famous Delhi restaurant ‘Moti Mahal’ for the first time.
Recalling the nervousness of that time, Amitabh Bachchan said, “I was very scared. I used to think that this is a big restaurant, only rich people go there. If we go, how will people look at us, what will our clothes be like? All these things run in the mind. So I can understand your situation.”
Amitabh Bachchan also shared a fun anecdote during the episode. He said that his parents accompanied him to Srinagar during the shooting of the film ‘Kabhi Kabhie’. When director Yash Chopra saw them, he asked them to do a scene in the roles of Shashi Kapoor’s parents. Accepting his request, Big B’s parents also did a cameo in his film.
