    The iconic Indian television show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ is set to make a comeback with its second season, 17 years after its initial release in 2000. The show, which garnered immense popularity and cultural significance, is poised to return with the original cast reprising their roles, alongside new actors joining the ensemble. The original series, created by Ektaa Kapoor, captured the hearts of audiences with its dramatic storylines and memorable characters. The revival, ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’, is scheduled to air on Star Plus, bringing back familiar faces and introducing a new generation of characters.

    * Smriti Irani as Tulsi Virani
    * Amar Upadhyay as Mihir Virani
    * Shakti Anand as Hemant Virani
    * Ritu Chaudhary as Shobha Virani
    * Hiten Tejwani as Karan Virani
    * Gauri Pradhan as Nandini Virani
    * Kamalika Guha Thakurta as Gayatri Virani

    * Rohit Suchanti as Angad Virani, Tulsi and Mihir’s son
    * Shagun Sharma as Paridhi Virani, Tulsi and Mihir’s daughter
    * Aman Gandhi as Hrithik Virani, Tulsi and Mihir’s second son
    * Tanisha Mehta as Vrinda Patel, Angad’s love interest

    Ektaa Kapoor, in an interview, discussed her decision to reboot the show, emphasizing its relevance even today. She highlighted that the original series tackled sensitive issues like marital rape and euthanasia long before they became mainstream topics. Furthermore, she noted the challenges she faced as a female producer in a predominantly male-dominated industry. The show will air on Star Plus at 10:30 PM and will also be available on JioHotstar.
