Salman Khan’s Rigorous Training for Galwan Valley Film

Bollywood star Salman Khan has commenced intensive fitness training for his upcoming film, which is reportedly inspired by the Indo-China Galwan Valley clash of June 2020. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the project signifies Salman’s renewed focus following the performance of his previous film, Sikandar. The actor is preparing to portray the late Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu, a valiant officer of the 16 Bihar regiment who died during the Galwan Valley conflict. To accurately embody this role, Salman’s training regimen, which began earlier this month, includes a strong emphasis on general fitness and high-altitude conditioning. According to reports, Salman is dedicating four hours daily to circuit training, targeting various muscle groups to enhance strength, endurance, and cardiovascular health, crucial for high-altitude environments. The film’s primary shooting location in Ladakh necessitates this specialized training, which also involves acclimatization to lower oxygen levels. Salman is considering utilizing altitude simulation equipment or potentially joining an altitude training studio to optimize his physical preparedness for combat sequences, especially given his age. Director Apoorva Lakhia is scheduled to finalize Salman Khan’s look in July, with filming slated to begin in August 2025. The film’s title remains undisclosed. Beyond this project, Salman Khan is also set to star in an action drama alongside actor Sanjay Dutt.
