Thug Life OTT Release: Kamal Haasan’s Gangster Thriller Set for Netflix Debut

Kamal Haasan’s highly anticipated film, ‘Thug Life,’ premiered in theaters on June 5, 2025. Despite significant hype, the big-budget production failed to connect with audiences, resulting in a disappointing box office performance. With a budget of approximately 250 crores, the Mani Ratnam-directed movie only managed to earn 90 crores before concluding its theatrical run. Now, the film is slated to reach OTT platforms in multiple languages within a month. The official digital streaming partner for ‘Thug Life’ is Netflix. The film is expected to be available on the platform starting July 3rd, 2025, allowing subscribers to watch it in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The cast includes Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ashok Selvan, Abhirami, Joju George, Nassar, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Ali Fazal. The gangster drama is produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies, with Kamal Haasan, R. Mahendran, Mani Ratnam, and Siva Ananth as producers.
