BJP parliamentarian Agnimitra Paul has launched a scathing critique against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s administration, alleging that the TMC secured electoral success through 58 lakh fictitious voters. Speaking at a rally, Paul exposed what she called a massive fraud that undermined democracy in the state.

‘TMC didn’t win on merit; they stole the election with 58 lakh fake names on voter lists,’ Paul charged, calling for the Mamata government’s resignation. Her bold accusations have ignited a firestorm, drawing sharp responses from TMC ranks and energizing BJP workers across Bengal.

Highlighting data from various assembly segments, Paul claimed voter rolls were padded with non-existent entries, particularly in TMC strongholds. This, she argued, explains the party’s unexpected margins in closely contested seats. The BJP has long raised concerns over electoral malpractices in West Bengal, and Paul’s latest salvo adds fuel to the fire.

TMC has hit back, branding the claims as ‘fabricated lies’ aimed at derailing their governance. Party insiders insist their victories stem from grassroots support and development initiatives. Nevertheless, Paul’s revelations have prompted calls for an independent probe into the voter database.

As tensions simmer, this episode highlights the cutthroat politics in West Bengal, where allegations of foul play are commonplace. With assembly polls on the horizon, both camps are leaving no stone unturned. Paul’s aggressive stance positions her as a key BJP voice against the incumbent regime, potentially swaying public opinion.
