Shah stated that Dhankhar resigned due to personal health issues and urged against attempting to read more into the situation. This statement was made during an interview with news agency ANI, shortly before the upcoming September 9th Vice Presidential elections. CP Radhakrishnan, the Governor of Maharashtra, is the NDA’s candidate for the election, while the opposition has nominated former Supreme Court Justice B. Sudarshan Reddy.
