The Army chief commended the Chinar Corps for their dedication to maintaining peace and stability through counter-terrorism operations and regional development initiatives. He received detailed updates on the current security situation, including information on the number of terrorists operating in the valley, who are reportedly under pressure and hiding in forested areas. General Dwivedi highlighted the use of modern technology in counter-terrorism efforts, including the anti-infiltration grid along the Line of Control. He was informed about the deployment of advanced surveillance devices and continuous patrolling in sensitive areas. Separately, Baramulla police arrested an individual in Pattan and recovered incriminating materials, including posters linked to the banned JK National Front and ammunition.
