    Security forces successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt on the Line of Control (LoC) in the Gurez sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district. During the operation, two terrorists were neutralized. Concurrently, an army soldier was martyred while on duty in Kupwara. The Chinar Corps, based in Srinagar, reported that the operation was initiated based on intelligence regarding a potential infiltration attempt. Alert soldiers observed suspicious activity and challenged the infiltrators, leading to an exchange of fire. The soldiers retaliated, resulting in the killing of two terrorists. The operation is ongoing, as authorities suspect the presence of additional terrorists in the area. In a separate incident, a soldier laid down his life while serving in the Kupwara district. The Chinar Corps honored the supreme sacrifice of Havaldar Iqbal Ali, recognizing his bravery and dedication.
