The issue of voter irregularities and alleged vote theft continues to dominate the political landscape in Bihar ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. The Congress party has been consistently leveling accusations against the Election Commission, which in turn has been responding to these allegations. Approximately 6.5 million names were removed from the Bihar voter list during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. The Supreme Court recently ordered the Election Commission to make these names public. The Election Commission has now uploaded the names of these 6.5 million individuals on its website.
