Bihar’s 2025 Assembly elections saw historic voter turnout, with over 65% in the first phase and more than 67% in the second phase. As the state awaits the official vote count on November 14, exit polls are painting a clear picture. Projections indicate a strong performance by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), with most polls suggesting they will secure between 130 and 160 seats, comfortably crossing the majority mark. In contrast, the Mahagathbandhan, led by the RJD, appears to be falling short of expectations. Exit poll predictions for the alliance range from 70 to 100 seats, indicating a significant challenge in forming the next government. Vote share projections also favor the NDA, with Peoples Pulse estimating 46.2% for NDA compared to 37.9% for the Mahagathbandhan. While Tejashwi Yadav and Nitish Kumar remain prominent chief ministerial contenders, the exit polls suggest the NDA’s coalition strategy and Nitish Kumar’s influence may have resonated more with voters this election cycle.
