Defence Minister Rajnath Singh declared that Bihar is transitioning from producing local firearms and lanterns to manufacturing advanced weaponry like missiles and cannons. Addressing a public rally in Ramgarh, Singh revealed plans for a dedicated defence industrial corridor in Bihar, aimed at significantly boosting the state’s industrial output and creating numerous employment opportunities. This initiative underscores the NDA government’s commitment to self-reliance and economic development.

Singh directly addressed opposition parties, stating, “Now Bihar will not make kattas, it will make missiles and cannons.” He emphasized that the NDA manifesto, termed ‘Atal Pratigya’ or ‘Bhishm Pratigya,’ signifies an unwavering dedication to the people of Bihar. The government’s strategy focuses on generating sustainable job growth through avenues like MSME corridors and the new defence corridor, rather than making unrealistic promises of government jobs for every household. Singh clarified that the focus is on creating a robust job market, acknowledging the financial impracticality of mass government employment.

During a separate rally in Karakat, Singh strongly criticized the Congress party, accusing them of divisive politics based on caste and religion. He specifically cited remarks by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy about the Congress’s connection to Muslims as an example of appeasement. Singh asserted that the BJP champions a ‘politics of justice and humanity,’ maintaining a firm stance against sectarian divisions. He also challenged Rahul Gandhi’s accusations regarding the Election Commission, questioning the need for falsehoods in political pursuits and advocating for nation-building over misleading the public. Singh reiterated the NDA’s pledge to fulfill all manifesto promises, highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s principle of avoiding false commitments and prioritizing societal progress over mere governance.
