In the lead-up to the Bihar assembly elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a public gathering in Araria, strongly criticizing the opposition. He accused ‘Lalu & Company’ of corruption and scams in Bihar, while also alleging that the Congress party was involved in nationwide corruption, amounting to ₹12 lakh crore. Shah contrasted this with the current government, stating that the ruling party had maintained transparency over the past 11 years and faced no corruption charges. He also targeted Rahul Gandhi, claiming that the opposition leader aimed to ensure voting rights for infiltrators, while the BJP’s goal was to remove them from Bihar. Shah asserted that the election was about removing infiltrators from Bihar, unlike the opposition, who he claimed, are focused on winning the election for their party and making Lalu’s son the Chief Minister. Shah promised that if the NDA is voted to power with a two-thirds majority, the BJP would remove these infiltrators from the sacred land of Bihar. Earlier in his second visit within ten days, Shah motivated the BJP workers in North Bihar.
