Bihar Achieves Major Milestone: Agricultural University Awarded A Grade by NAAC

The Agricultural University, Sabour, has been awarded an A grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), marking a significant achievement for Bihar. Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha emphasized that this recognition underscores Bihar’s growing prominence in higher education, research, and innovation. The success reflects the collective efforts of faculty, scientists, staff, students, and farmers. The NAAC peer team evaluated all aspects, including academics, administration, infrastructure, research, and extension. This achievement aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and highlights the positive impact of the state government’s focus on education and agriculture. The university’s commitment to academic excellence, inclusive development, research progress, and administrative transparency has been instrumental in this accomplishment. The university has restructured its curriculum to be multidisciplinary, skill-oriented, and innovation-driven, incorporating elements like outcome-based education and industry-academic collaboration. Students benefit from interdisciplinary courses, early research involvement, and credit transfer facilities, furthering the goals of a flexible, student-centric, and holistic development approach as outlined in NEP. The university has earned a 3.08 CGPA in a short span of 15 years. The Deputy Chief Minister congratulated the university community, urging them to build upon this success and lead Bihar towards becoming a hub for knowledge, science, and agricultural innovation.
