Political activity is intensifying in Bihar ahead of the assembly elections. The opposition alliance is conducting a ‘voter rights journey’ in Bihar, alleging ‘vote theft.’ The NDA is also set to become active. Following the conclusion of the Parliament’s monsoon session, the NDA is planning to intensify its election campaign in Bihar. According to the NDA’s strategy, PM Modi will visit Gaya on August 22 and, immediately after a rally there, the alliance will launch its election campaign in Bihar from August 23.

The NDA is starting its election campaign immediately after PM Modi’s rally. It has formed 14 teams of 7 leaders each for its election campaign. According to the strategy of the top leadership, all the leaders of the NDA’s constituent parties will be included in 14 teams, which will cover 84 constituencies in the first 2 phases.

This election campaign will run in 2 phases from August 23 to August 30. Each team will visit 6-6 assembly constituencies in 6 days. This team will include central ministers, party MPs, state ministers, and senior leaders of all five supporting parties of the NDA: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Janata Dal United (JDU), Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM-S), and Rashtriya Loktantrik Morcha (RLM).

The first team will be led by JDU’s working president Sanjay Jha. Union ministers Giriraj Singh, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Nityanand Rai, Satish Chandra Dubey, and Ramnath Thakur will be part of this team. Additionally, both the Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar, Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, the state presidents of all the NDA parties, and other leaders are also included in this team.

These leaders will hold a joint meeting of all NDA workers at the assembly level to ensure better coordination before the elections. During this time, these leaders will also organize a joint press conference to highlight the work and achievements of the NDA government at the center and state.

Through the workers’ conference, the NDA will now be active at the assembly level as well. According to sources associated with the BJP, the plan for this conference was made long ago. The monsoon session of Parliament is ending on August 21, i.e., Thursday, and Prime Minister Modi will address a public meeting in Gaya on August 22. The plan is to start the workers’ conference from August 23.

All this is happening while the opposition parties Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal, along with their allied parties, are conducting a ‘voter rights journey.’ This 13,000-kilometer journey will cover about 20 districts of the state and will be completed in Patna on September 1. During this, the opposition is accusing the center of serious charges like vote theft through the ‘voter rights journey.’ Now, the NDA is also responding to the opposition’s attacks and starting to energize party workers at the grassroots level by intensifying its election campaign.
