A newlywed from Bihar arrived in Delhi with her husband, who worked there. They rented an apartment in Pandav Nagar. Shortly after her arrival, she was found dead under suspicious circumstances, sending shockwaves through the area. The deceased’s family has revealed details that have stunned the police.
According to the family, the deceased’s husband was having an affair with another woman, a fact the wife had discovered, along with supporting evidence. The family alleges that the husband and in-laws murdered her. An FIR has been filed by the family at the Mandawali police station in Delhi.
Mayuri, from Bihar, married Vipul Kumar, a resident of Roh, Nawada, on March 6, 2025. Mayuri’s parents and brother allege that their daughter was murdered by her husband Vipul, his parents, brother, and Vipul’s girlfriend, Ritika. They then staged the scene to look like a suicide by hanging her body.
Mayuri’s mother, Poonam Singh, stated that her son-in-law Vipul worked in a private company in Delhi. Initially, he hesitated to take Mayuri with him. Under pressure from his parents, he took Mayuri to Delhi on May 20. Poonam said Mayuri had told her over the phone that Vipul was having an illicit relationship with a girl named Ritika, who worked as an HR in a company in Mumbai and was a resident of West Bengal. Mayuri claimed to have evidence of this affair.
Mayuri’s brother, Gaurav Kumar, said that he spoke to his sister on June 2. However, at 7 pm, Vipul called to inform him that Mayuri had committed suicide. Gaurav alleges that Vipul had taken the body down from the noose and placed it on the floor before the police arrived, which indicates a conspiracy to murder. Delhi Police have registered a case of Mayuri’s murder at the Mandawali police station. Vipul has been arrested and sent to jail. Meanwhile, the in-laws and Ritika are still absconding.
The family alleges that Vipul had demanded money after the marriage to buy a flat and a car. The victim’s family, residing in Gol Bagicha Gabda, Kotwali Thana area of Gaya, is demanding justice. Poonam and Gaurav have demanded that the absconding accused be arrested soon and given severe punishment. The police are investigating the matter and conducting raids to find the absconding accused.
