Excitement is building in the Begusarai district of Bihar with the completion of the Aunta-Simaria 6-lane Ganga Bridge. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit for an inspection. The opening of this modern bridge will significantly improve transportation between North and South Bihar. The bridge connects Aunta in Mokama and Simaria in Begusarai, spanning 1.865 kilometers. The total length of the project, including approach roads, is 8.150 kilometers, with a cost of approximately 1871 crore rupees.

Previously, only a two-lane rail-cum-road bridge existed, which often caused traffic congestion. The new 6-lane bridge will not only eliminate traffic jams but also facilitate the movement of heavy vehicles. Seamless 4-lane connectivity from Patna to Begusarai and Khagaria via Mokama is now ensured.
