    The crackdown on criminals has begun in Bihar. ADG Nayyar Hasnain Khan announced the commencement of the process to seize illegal assets of all notorious criminals, including Naxalites, criminals, and the mafia. A proposal for the seizure of assets of 52 criminals under PMLA has been sent to the Enforcement Directorate (ED), with actions already initiated against several individuals.

    This is considered a large-scale effort by the state government. Complete details of criminals who have amassed wealth through illegal means have been sent to the ED to enable strict action under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). This includes criminals involved in activities such as sand mining, liquor smuggling, cybercrime, land grabbing, and fraud.
