A fire incident occurred on the Jan Shatabdi Express train traveling from Jhajha railway station in Bihar to Howrah, West Bengal. Initially, a fire was detected in a wheel of the train at a station. Though the fire was brought under control and the train proceeded, smoke began emanating from the wheels again at the next station. This caused panic among the passengers.

The incident occurred on the Jasidih rail section, between Rajla and Simultala railway stations, a distance of 15 kilometers. The train was delayed at the stations due to the fire incidents, causing distress among the passengers. People feared the fire might spread, leading to chaos. The fire started in the train’s wheel at Rajla railway station. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.

After the fire was brought under control, the train resumed its journey. However, before reaching the home signal of Simultala railway station, smoke started coming out of the train’s wheel again. The train was stopped, and passengers evacuated, running in various directions.

Railway officials stated that the fire was caused by brake binding. The situation was brought under control.
