Heavy Rainfall Batters Delhi-NCR, Alert Issued for Multiple States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts continued rainfall throughout the day, with the possibility of light to moderate showers. An alert has been issued for several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, and the mountainous regions, indicating the widespread impact of the weather system. The IMD has also reported that Delhi experienced 9% more rainfall than usual in July. Heavy rainfall is expected in various districts of Uttar Pradesh, with warnings of thunderstorms. Bihar is also experiencing heavy rainfall, leading to rising river levels, and a heavy rainfall alert has been issued for several districts. Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are also under a yellow alert for heavy rainfall, with potential for landslides and disruptions.
