A significant meeting was held on Thursday, July 31st, in Patna by the Department of Science, Technology, and Technical Education. The primary focus was a detailed discussion on the smooth integration of newly admitted students into the government engineering colleges and polytechnic institutions within the state of Bihar, familiarizing them with the institutional procedures.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Pratima, the Secretary of the Department. Officials and other relevant stakeholders were in attendance. Emphasis was placed on ensuring that new students did not face any inconvenience related to hostels, mess facilities, libraries, and laboratories, ensuring they had access to all necessary amenities.

Dr. Pratima instructed officials to familiarize students with every aspect of their respective institutions, providing them with comprehensive information to avoid any difficulties. Additionally, new students were to be provided with information about relevant digital portals to facilitate access to support and complaint registration, allowing the institutions to address any inconveniences and resolve student issues.

Furthermore, Dr. Pratima directed all assistant directors to strictly monitor for any instances of ragging involving new students. She also mandated a review of CCTV cameras in each institution and hostel to verify the number and proper functioning of the cameras, enabling monitoring of any ragging incidents within the institution.
