A married woman in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh, found herself at the center of a dramatic situation when her lover arrived at her in-laws’ home. The ensuing confrontation with her husband led to police intervention, and the lover was taken into custody. However, the woman’s determination became evident when she followed them to the court, insisting on being with her lover. Despite pleas from her husband and family, she refused to change her mind.

The lover had traveled from Ludhiana, Punjab, to be with her. The police charged him with disturbing the peace. The woman, Aradhana, originally from the Banda district, had married Sheelu from Mahoba on May 5, 2022. The couple had been living happily together and even had a one-and-a-half-year-old son. However, Aradhana developed a habit of playing a mobile game that led her to connect with Shivam from Ludhiana. Their online friendship blossomed into romance, unknown to anyone.

Aradhana stated, “I will only stay with my lover.” Sheelu, her husband, revealed that his wife had visited her lover in Delhi a few days earlier and then the lover showed up at his home. He has now decided to divorce her, and she is adamant about being with her lover. Aradhana explained that her husband would often beat her under the influence of alcohol, which is why her friend came to see her. She added, “I want love, not a husband.”

Shivam said that their online meeting happened 14 months ago while playing Free Fire. Their friendship developed into love. He was unaware of the abuse Aradhana faced. He said he came to her when she called him, and her husband created a scene. He also said that he would accept her child and keep them both together. The incident created a high-voltage drama in the Sadar Tehsil premises involving the husband, wife, and lover.
